Justine Taylor has been designing collections for the past twelve years, since graduating from East Sydney Tech in 2000. Her first eponymous label, Justine Taylor sold to Barney’s in Japan, and was stocked next to the likes of Anne Demeulemeester and Martin Margiela. Her second diffusion label, JUSTINE.TAYLOR.MADE retailed into over 40 boutiques throughout Australasia, including into department stores in Taiwan and stockists in Singapore. Both labels were showcased at Australian Fashion week for the six or so years of their existence, with extensive coverage portrayed in both print and on digital media platforms.

OPUS 9 was born in 2008: an ‘opus’ describing a body of work, with the ‘9’ marking the ninth collection. OPUS 9 is black, and because of this the pieces from the continuous collection can all be worn together – effectively rendering it as one body of work. OPUS 9 is retailed privately and online. By cutting out the storefront retailer OPUS 9 can sell these tailor made, hand crafted, bespoke pieces at a wholesale price. OPUS 9 uses the best fabrics, imported from Italy and Japan, in combination with expert cuts, to ensure both client satisfaction and clothing that lasts.
OPUS 9 can be found at both www.opus9.com.au and on Face Book. Please subscribe to the former or befriend the latter in order to receive updates regarding all OPUS 9 news, including the most recent catalogue – to be updated shortly.
